We are so thankful to be the Austin, Texas, wedding venue Eleanor and Johnathan chose for their spring wedding. Being able to be the setting for such important milestones in couples' lives is truly an honor for our team. Eleanor and Johnathan's wedding day was full of love, laughter, and color for their spring wedding!
An Austin Texas Wedding Venue for Intimate Weddings
Eleanor started her wedding day in one of our on-site cottages, getting ready with her bridesmaids. Dressed in matching white pajamas with pink flowers, Eleanor had every wedding detail planned out from the beginning. Our cottages provided a relaxing and convenient setting for getting ready for her wedding day.
The color palette for the wedding was a mix of pinks, yellows, oranges, and greens, the perfect colors for a spring garden-themed wedding. These colors were so bright and beautiful when it came to decorating the ceremony and reception space, and they complemented the nature that The Wayback is surrounded by. One of our favorite details was the floral arrangements designed by Tiffany at Ida Mayes Floral Design House. Instead of traditional bouquets, each bridesmaid carried a single type of bloom. In contrast, Eleanor's bouquet combined all the flowers in her bridesmaids' arrangements. This is a new trend that is popping up more frequently in weddings. It is called a monofloral bouquet, where you have an entire bouquet of only one flower type. Can't wait to see more brides do this in the future!
The bridesmaids wore stunning green bridesmaid dresses that fit the color palette perfectly. At the same time, the groomsmen looked handsome in their tan suits. The wedding ceremony was so sweet, with Eleanor and Johnathan saying their vows in front of the beautiful Texas hill country backdrop.
Tented Wedding Reception for a Windy Spring Wedding
It was extra windy outside on the day of their wedding, so they decided to host the wedding reception under a tent, which was such a smart decision! It provided a cozy setting for their reception while protecting the guests from the wind and ensuring the decor stayed in place. The tent setup allowed everyone to enjoy the celebration without worry! Here at The Wayback, we have multiple options for locations for your wedding reception despite any weather that could get in the way. The reception was fun, with guests enjoying seasonal dishes catered by our Wayback Cafe team. Guests enjoyed their evening under the white canopy and the gentle glow of string lights.
Hosting Eleanor and Johnathan's wedding was an absolute honor. Their day was a celebration of love and a perfect example of what our Austin, Texas, wedding venue can look like for a spring wedding! From our cozy cottages and the green lawn spaces waiting to be transformed into your dream wedding, we are honored to be a part of this milestone for our couples.
